Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the
specifications on the rating plate. The appliance is not intended to be
operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control
system. Do not use the appliance if the power cord and/or appliance are
damaged.
Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the appliance
and the power cord. These appliances may be used by children aged
8 or over and by people who have reduced physical, sensory or mental
abilities or inadequate experience and/or knowledge, provided they are
supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely
and have understood the resulting dangers. Cleaning and user mainte-
nance must not be performed by children unless they are older than
8 years of age and are supervised.
Always pull out the mains plug after using the appliance, before cleaning
the appliance, before leaving the room or if a fault occurs.
Do not place the power cord over sharp edges or hot surfaces.
To prevent injury, repairs to the appliance, such as replacing a damaged
power cord, should be carried out by our customer service only.
Appliance becomes hot; wait until it has cooled down before transporting!
Do not insert objects into the toasting slot.
Operate the toaster in an upright position only.
Bread can burn. Never operate the toaster near or under curtains
or other flammable materials and never leave unattended.
Never cover the toasting slot.
The upper area of the toaster may become hot during toasting.
Do not touch. Take hold of the bread-roll rack by the handle only.
Remove crumbs from under the bread-roll rack with a hard brush.
Pull out and wipe the crumb tray.
