3.1 Use in accordance with the intended purpose
The MiniFil device is designed to exhaust welding fumes generated during electric
arc welding at the place of their origination and filter out these fumes. Hazardous
substances released during the process are trapped using the connected smoke
suction burner or suction nozzle. They are then brought into the filter unit together
with the exhausted air. Here they are routed through in-line coarse particle separator
into the main filter. The main filter contains another two filtration stages, aluminium
mat for medium particle size and a set of filters used for separation of fine smoke
particles that could get into lungs with more than 99% efficiency. The cleaned air is
sucked by turbines and conveyed back through particle filter into the workspace.
During the process of exhausting welding fumes containing carcinogenic
substances, generated from alloyed steel welding (e.g. stainless steel), in
accordance with official regulations, only certified and properly approved
devices with "internal air circulation" are permitted for use.
During welding operations in Germany it is in principle necessary to comply
with the regulations TRGS 528 "Welding Works" (Technical rules for welding
works). When extracting welding fumes containing carcinogenic substances
(e.g. chromates, nickel oxides, etc.) the operator must also comply with the
requirements of TRGS 560.
The technical specifications also include dimensions and other information about
the MiniFil device, which shall be considered.
NOTE
Observe the data in the paragraph 8.1 Technical data.
These data must be strictly adhered to.
The use in accordance with the intended purpose includes the
