START UP

Final checks

Following installation and programming, start up the
operator with all the devices you have installed.
1 Check the correct operation of the control devices
(push button and wall key, remote control).
See "Closing modes" on page 41.
2 Check the correct operation of the safety devices
(photocells and strips).
See "A- Detection by the additional safety device
(photocell or safety strip)" on page 42.
3 Place an obstacle and make the gate meet it in order
to check operation in the event of collision.
See "B- Direct detection (sensibility of the
operator)" on page 42.
4 If everything is correct, close the control panel cover.
If the system does not work correctly, find out
why and put it right.

Installation manual
The correct adjustment of the torque and of the
speed is of vital importance for the gate to stop
automatically when coming across a possible
obstacle without producing any injury or
damage. Any increase in the torque and in the
speed will produce a more violent impact.
1 Regulate the torque (force) potentiometers (P.M1 for
M1 and P.M2 for M2) at the minimum possible value,
compatible for good operation of the gate.
2 Regulate the required speed using V.M.
3 Check the force of the impact and compare with the
values shown in Standard EN12453:2000. If the
values measured are greater than those of the
standard, reduce the speed or the torque.
The torque and speed regulator of the control panel
must be adjusted in a manner which respects the
values indicated in standard EN 12453:2000, as
shown in the attached chart. The measurements
must be made in line with the method described in
standard EN 12445:2000.

User instruction

1 Instruct the user with regards to the use and
maintenance of the facility and provide him/her with
the use manual.
2 Point to the gate, showing that it opens
automatically, and indicating how to operate it
manually.
Where
appropriate,
operation is using the remote control.
