Special Cuts
Cutting bowed material and round material
are only two examples of special cuts.
Cutting Bowed Material

there are no gaps between the workpiece,
fence, and table along the line of cut. Bent
or warped workpieces can twist or rock and
may cause binding on the spinning saw blade
while cutting (Fig. 30).
Cutting Round or Irregularly Shaped
Material

designed to clamp the workpiece firmly
against the fence 7 and table. Rods tend to
roll while being cut, causing the blade to "bite"
and pull the work, along with your hand, into
the blade (Fig. 31).
Dust Collection
The fixed dust chute is compatible with
both the included dust elbow and standard
35mm diameter hose ends. The dust elbow
fits directly around the fixed dust chute and
is compatible with standard 2-½" diameter
hoses. For vacuum hoses with different
diameters, an adapter (not included) must be
used.
To collect the dust when cutting without
an attached vacuum, the dust elbow can
be rotated to direct the dust in the desired
direction or the dust bag can be attached to
the fixed dust chute. The dust bag should
be checked frequently and emptied as
necessary.
