4- Turn the multiple tool (revolver) to bring the mounting tool into the working
position.
5- Raise the fixed bead presser disc by hand to bring it into the working position.
When the set height is reached, the disc locks in place automatically.
6- Turn the chuck until the valve is at the 7 o'clock position.
7- Place the tyre horizontal on the rim, slightly tilted at 12 o'clock (see Fig. P/1).
8- Lower the top carriage until the fixed bead presser disc touches the sidewall of
the tyre.
9- Press down the tyre by hand at 3 o'clock to fit it onto the rim (see Fig. P/2).
10- Start clockwise rotation until the bottom bead is completely mounted.
NOTE: Proceed in such a way that the rim and tyre move as one.
N.B.: If the tyre has not been mounted after one complete revolution, repeat the
operations, increasing or decreasing the pressure applied by the fixed bead presser disc.
11- Move the valve to about 4 o'clock.
12- Tilt the tyre by hand (see Fig. P/3) to create the space needed for the mounting
tool to be inserted between the rim and the tyre.
13- Lower the upper tool until it is about 30 mm inside the rim, and a few mm
from its outside edge. Fit the plastic guard on the rim, placing it at about 3 o'clock
(see Fig. P/4).
14- Place the mobile bead presser at about 2 o'clock and press gently (see Fig.
P/4).
15- Turn the chuck clockwise.
When the mobile bead presser is at about 5 o'clock, increase the pressure until the
bead is aligned with the well (see Fig. P/5).
WARNING!
Do not crush the tyre more than necessary as excessive
pressure might reduce its safety level.
16- When the mobile bead presser is at about 7 o'clock, reduce the pressure to prevent
possible damage to the bead.
Continue rotation until the tyre is completely mounted.
NOTE: If the part of the tyre between the two bead pressers does not enter the well,
use the mounting procedure specified below, with the aid of the clamp:
- Move the valve to about 4 o'clock.
- After positioning the fixed bead presser disc and the tool correctly for mounting of the second bead (described earlier), fit the plastic guard
at 3 o'clock and secure the clamp (see Fig. P/6) at 2 o'clock.
N.B.: Lubricate the outside of the clamp before fixing it to the rim.
- Start rotation.
When the clamp is at about 5 o'clock, check that all the bead in this sector has slipped into the well.
