LED FUNCTION OF CHARGER
See Figures 1 and 6, pages 7 - 9.
There are two sets of green and red LEDs. The green and red LEDs closest to the 40V battery port will indicate the status of a 40V
battery pack and the LEDs closest to the 18V battery port will indicate the status of an 18V battery pack.

• Try to repeat the conditions a second time by removing and reinstalling the battery pack. If the LED Error status repeats a
second time, try charging a different battery.
• If a different battery charges normally, dispose of the pack that received the Error (see your battery pack manual for instructions).
• If a different battery also indicates Error, the charger should be replaced.

When battery pack reaches cooled temperature, char-
ger begins charge mode.

Charger pre-charges battery until normal voltage is
reached, then begins charge mode.
