After brewing

Carry out the following operations after
each use of the appliance in order to retain
proper function of the appliance and pre-
vent mould from forming:
Emptying / cleaning the filter
Remove the thermos jug from the hot-
‹
plate.
Press the unlocking button (5) to open
‹
the filter compartment (8).
Remove the filter insert (11) with the
‹
permanent filter (10) from the filter
compartment (8).
Wash the permanent filter, the filter in-
‹
sert (9) and drip protector.

Storage

If you do not intend to use the appliance
for a longer period of time, switch it off and
pull the plug out of the mains socket. Clean
the appliance as described in the section
Cleaning and care (page 32).
Store the appliance and all accessory parts
at a dry, clean and frost-free location which
is protected against direct sunlight.
