3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The temperature of environment must not be higher than
40°C and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device
is being used. There should be at least 10 cm distance
between each side of the device and the wall or other
objects. Keep the device away from hot surfaces. Operate
the device on an even, stable, clean, fire-proof and dry
surface and out of the reach of children and persons with
mental disabilities. Position the device such that you always
have access to the power plug. The power cord connected
to the appliance must be properly grounded and
correspond to the technical details on the product label!
NOTE: The pump should only be used in a horizontal
position. Place it as close as possible to the liquid tank
ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
Connecting hoses to the device
NOTE: The installation of the device must be carried out by
a qualified specialist.
MSW-OP60S, MSW-OP40S
•
Connect the drain hose (9) to the connection (2).
•
Attach the dispensing gun (11) to the opposite end
of the drain hose.
•
Connect the suction hose (10) to the connection (3).
MSW-OP60
•
Depending on their type, the suction and drain
hoses (not included) should be screwed directly onto
the threaded connection or put on and tightened on
the nozzle (12) which was screwed in earlier.
•
The user should install a non-return valve (13) at the
end of the suction hose.
MSW-OP40, MSW-OP40S2
•
Connect the drain and suction hoses to appropriate
connectors (there are no hoses in MSW-OP40 pump
set).
•
Fit the dosing gun (11) to the other end of the drain
hose (the gun is part of the MSW-OP40S2 pump set).
PLEASE NOTE: Always make sure that the suction and
discharge hoses are correctly fitted in the device, the arrow
on the device indicates the liquid flow direction.
On the MSW-OP60, MSW-OP40, MSW-OP40S2 and MSW-
OP40S models, the mounting plate should be screwed to
the base surface.

3.3. DEVICE USE
3.3.1. OPERATION
1.
Before use, top up the pump and the suction hose
with the liquid to be pumped in order to avoid
running the pump dry and damaging it.
2.
Lay the suction hose upwards towards the pump.
Avoid laying the suction line above the pump level.
Air bubbles in the suction line delay and / or stop the
suction.
3.
Dip the end of the suction hose in the liquid deep
enough to prevent it from getting above the liquid
level.
4.
Connect the device to a power source.
5.
During the first suction process, allow air to be
released from the pump and hoses by opening the
delivery hose outlet (which can be a gun, jet, etc.).
6.
Switch on the device with the on / off switch (1).
7.
Depending on the suction height, delivery height and
the amount of air in the suction line, the first suction
process can take up to approx. 5 minutes. If no liquid
appears in the delivery line after that time, switch the
pump off with the on / off switch (1), disconnect it
from the power supply and refill the suction system
with the liquid to be pumped.
8.
In the MSW-OP60S model, before each pumping,
the liquid flow counter should be reset to zero using
the knob (7).
9.
Applies to MSW-OP40 and MSW-OP40S2 models:
The device duty cycle is 30 minutes under normal use.
10.
In the event of thermal protection activation,
disconnect the device from power supply. Then,
before restarting, wait until the device cools down
and, if possible, remove the cause of the trip.
11.
Always switch off the device after use and disconnect
it from the power supply.
3.3.2. HAZARDS IN THE COURSE OF USING THE DEVICE
The hazards that can occur during use of the machine
are mechanical hazards. The mechanical hazard occurs
in situations in which injuries can result from mechanical
impact of various elements, e.g. machine parts, tools,
etc. on people. The basic mechanical hazards include
squeezing, crushing, cutting, pulling in or catching; impact;
puncture; abrasion; as well as slipping and stumbling.
These hazards can occur both during normal machine
operation and as a result of irregularities in machine
operation. These irregularities might result in machine
failure. The mechanical hazards can result from: moving
machines, transported loads, moving elements, sharp/
rough elements, dropping elements/loads, slippery uneven
surfaces, limited space, location of the work station in
relation to the ground.
3.3.3. INSPECTIONS AND PERIODIC CONTROL
Before being used, the new or repaired machine must
be checked by qualified technical personnel who have
knowledge and experience within the scope of operation
and maintenance of this type of machine. The machine
must be checked regularly by means of visual control of
the machine's condition, before, during and after use. The
check must be performed by the machine's operators. Any
irregularities in machine operation as well as any damage
must be reported to the proper technical personnel. Do
not use the machine if damage or any irregularities in its
operation were found.
NOTE: Disconnect the machine from the power supply
before each inspection.
Rev. 17.04.2019
•
PRELIMINARY INSPECTION: Before first use. All new
or repaired machines must be checked by a qualified
and competent person to ensure the machine meets
the requirements of this operating manual.
•
DAILY CHECK:
»
check the condition of the power cord,
»
check the leak-tightness and technical condition of
pipes, suction hoses and pumping hoses
»
check that the liquid inlets and outlets are
unobstructed,
»
check that the switch is in good working order
•
PERIODIC INSPECTION:
»
check the fastening security of movable elements
»
check the filter condition
3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a)
Unplug the mains plug before each cleaning,
adjustment or replacement of accessories, or if the
device is not being used.
