STARTING THE MACHINE
Engage the gear required using the lever (2) Fig. 1. If the gear does not engage immediately, give light
touches on the clutch (1, Fig. 1).
Accelerate the engine using the throttle lever (4) Fig.1, and pull the clutch lever (Fig. 7C). The machine
will start. When the lever is released, the machine will stop (Fig. 7D).
FINISHING WORK
Return the throttle lever (4, Fig. 1) to the idling position. Press the stop button. Always consult the engine
instruction manual.
MAINTENANCE
The truck is designed to require very little maintenance. However, in order to keep it at top performance,
the following operations are advisable:
– Check that all the nuts and bolts are always firmly tightened;
– oil the throttle and clutch cables;
– never use mineral oil on rubber parts as it will damage them;
– always check the oil levels and clean the air filter often;
– check the crawler track tension.
LUBRICATION
N.B.: Change oil when the machine is hot to aid total drainage of the old oil. Never remove the oil level
caps with the machine running as circulating oil may spill out.
ENGINE OIL
Comply strictly with the instructions given in the engine handbook. It is essential to check the level every
4 working hours and change it approximately every 50 hours (Fig. 9).
Use AGIP MULTIGRADE 15W/40 engine oil in summer and winter, for both petrol and Diesel engines.
Always consult the engine instruction manual.
AIR FILTER
Check the oil level every 8 hours and even more often in very dusty environments. For oil changes,
necessary fairly often, and for top-ups, use the same oil as in the engine (for oil-immersed filter versions).
For dry air filters, check the cartridge for clogging every 8 hours and replace if necessary.
GEARBOX OIL
Check the level about every 50 working hours and top up if necessary with AGIP F 1 ROTRA MP 85W/
90 gearbox oil. Change the oil once a year (quantity 1.35 kg). To drain the old oil from the gearbox, remove
the screw (Fig. 8).
TRACK ROLLERS
Periodically grease the track roller pins, especially if the machine is working on sandy terrain (fig. 8/A).
USEFUL RULES FOR OPTIMUM USE
– Never leave the machine out in the rain.
– Never force the gearbox if the gear does not engage; give light touches on the clutch while engaging
the gear.
– Never make the engine labour too hard; when excessive smoke comes from the exhaust, the engine
is labouring. Slow down or engage a low range gear.
– Never work at full throttle.
– If the machine overheats on the first day, stop it for a few minutes; it needs a rest.
– Remove any leaves or grass which accumulate on the grille around the engine pull-start.
– Keep the safety device clean and well oiled.
