2.3 Filling the water tank
1. Make sure that the power cable has been
disconnected from the plug socket.
WARNING:
Danger of electric shock! Never fill an
appliance with water when it is connected
to the mains.
2. Twist the filler cap counter-clockwise off
the water tank.
3. Place the included filling funnel (fig. 2/4)
into the filler opening of the water tank.
WARNING:
Danger of injury! Use no additives such as
cleansers, alcohol, perfumes or chemicals
in your water. These make the use of the
appliance unsafe.
4. Fill the included filling-container (fig. 2/5)
up to the "MAX" mark with clear, cold tap
water.
5. Fill the water tank using the filling-funnel
and the filling-container (fig. 3). Be aware
of any residual water in the tank. There is
a risk of spilling water or overfilling the
water tank. Do not use any other
containers for refilling. The capacity of the
filing-container exactly suits that of the
water tank.
NOTE:
The service life of the appliance can be
extended by using distilled water instead of
tap water. This is especially recommended
in areas with hard water.
6. Close the tank cap by inserting it so that
the ▼ mark on the cap matches the ▲
mark on the tank. Then twist the cap
clockwise by approx. 180° and check it for
tight fit.
