AUTOMATIC OPERATION

Automatic operation is selected from
the keypad, by pressing the A/M
Mode button (LED L2 (7) lit in green)
in Standby or Manual modes. If the
outside air temperature, recorded
by probe S2, is greater than/equal to
the value H05, domestic hot water
production takes place via the heat
pump. In this case, if probe S1 detects
a water temperature less than/equal
to the value Ut1-H26, consent is given
for the heat pump to start up. Similarly,
when probe S1 detects that the set
point Ut1 has been reached, and
maintained for a period of time equal
to H22, the HP will switch off.
Heat pump start-up means activation
of the compressor and fan. The
latter always begins running at the
same time as the compressor, at the
minimum speed required to reach the
desired operating condition within a
few seconds. The fan can modulate its
speed from a minimum of 35% (H24) to
a maximum of 100% (H25).
When the HP is active, the Auto Ut1 set
point is regulated and reached using
P logic.
The following indications occur in heat
pump mode:
If the temperature detected by
probe S1 is lower than the set point,
but the delays set using parameters
H20 and H21 are active, LED L1 (7)
will fl ash in green.
If the heat pump is active and
therefore lower than the set point,
LED L1 (7) will be lit steadily in green.
If the set point is reached or
exceeded, LED L1 (7) will switch off.
WARNING: HP off-on procedures
must observe the safety times which
can be set by the user.
• Off-on
timing.
switching off and subsequent
activation of the HP, there
must be a period of safety
time H20 (default 90 sec.). This
period also applies when the
controller is switched on.
• On-on timing. Between one HP
activation and the next, there
must be a period of safety time
H21 (default 100 sec.).

If the outside air temperature detected
by probe S2 falls below the value of
H05, domestic hot water production
takes place by means of the heating
element only, while the HP is forced off.
The latter is reactivated (and therefore
the heating element switches off)
when the outside air temperature
exceeds the value of H05+H06. When
the heating element replaces the HP,
the set point is regulated and reached
using PID logic.
WARNING: the heating element
and HP cannot ever be activated
simultaneously.

MANUAL OPERATION (HEATING
ELEMENT)
Manual operation is selected from the
keypad, by pressing the A/M Mode
button (LED L2 (7) lit in red).
Only the electric heating element
is active in manual operation; the
HP remains inactive. This function
is useful if you want to reduce the
duration of the transitory period or if
the cooling system is being serviced.
In manual operation, regulation tracks
parameters Ut2 (manual set point) and
H28 (differential) and takes place using
PID logic. When the heating element is
active, LED L1 (7) is lit in red, and when
the set point is reached it switches off.
11.8.
ANTI-BACTERIAL TREATMENT
CYCLE OPERATION
The anti-bacterial cycle is selected
from the keypad by pressing the Cycle
button in any status except machine
off. Treatment cycle operation consists
of cyclically raising the temperature
of the water contained in the boiler
Between
to a pre-set thermal shock value (65-
70°C) and maintaining it for a specified
period of time. An example of the Anti-
bacterial Treatment Cycle consists of
raising the water temperature to 65°C
for at least 30 minutes on 3 consecutive
days every month.
Raising the temperature from the
boiler set point value to the thermal
shock value is achieved using the
heating element. The set point must
be reached using PID logic in this case
too.
The following Parameters must be set
(Configuration branch):
H07 Thermal shock set point
H08 Anti-bacterial treatment cycle
frequency (monthly, weekly, etc.)
H09 Number of cycle repetitions
for
each
heating
element
is
anti-bacterial
treatment
H10 Duration of each cycle (period
during which the thermal shock
temperature is maintained)
H11 Time interval between two
consecutive cycles (e.g. 24 h)
When the set period of time has
elapsed (parameter H08), LED 3 flashes
and the buzzer sounds intermittently
to indicate that an anti-bacterial
treatment needs to be carried out.
Press the Cycle mode button to start
the anti-bacterial treatment, which
takes place in accordance with the set
parameters. During the treatment, LED
3 remains lit, switching from flashing
mode to steadily lit mode.
If you do not wish to proceed with
the treatment, simply reset the meter
by pressing the UP button; the LED
will switch off and the buzzer will be
silenced. The UP button only silences
the buzzer when the machine is in
standby, and not when the status is
OFF. The UP button can be used to
silence the buzzer and reset the anti-
bacterial timer meters simultaneously.
The buzzer will also be silenced if
you start the anti-bacterial cycle
by pressing the relevant button; if,
however, the cycle is stopped, the
buzzer will begin to sound again, unless
the anti-bacterial cycle has been
completed, in which case it will no
longer sound and the anti-bacterial
timer will be reset automatically.
The anti-bacterial treatment can be
forced at any time.
The anti-bacterial treatment can be
enabled/disabled
using
H32.

AUTOSTART FUNCTION

The Autostart function allows the unit to
restart automatically after it has been
switched off due to a lack of power.
This function can be enabled or not,
depending on the value associated
with parameter H23.
