MAINTENANCE
INSPECTION
• Before each use: OSHA 1910.66, OSHA
1926.502 And ANSI S359.1 Standards require
inspection of the equipment before each use
(see operating steps and use).
• Yearly: ANSI S359.1 Standard requires that a
qualified person, other than the user, make a
formal inspection of the line auto self retracting
at least once a year life. Required more frequent
inspections by a qualified person according to
the nature and severity of workplace conditions
affecting the equipment may be, modes of use
and exposure time of the equipment. Record
the results of each formal inspection in the
registration inspection and maintenance at the
end of this manual.
• After a fall stop: the self-retracting lifelines
must be removed from the work area and be
sent to the technical service department for
prompt assessment URREA.
IMPORTANT: extreme working conditions
(harsh environments, prolonged use, etc.)
Require more frequent inspections.

MAINTENANCE
Frequently clean the outside of the self-
retracting life line with a solution of mild soap
and water.
Rinse and allow to air dry completely and place
the auto self retracting line so that it can drain
the water life.
Do not apply heat to speed drying.
The lifeline should be dry before it can be
retracted into the drive.
Clean labels if required.
CARE
The self-retracting lifelines must be kept in a
clean, cool, dry place away from chemical fumes
or corrosive elements.
Keep in storage units designed to allow proper
ventilation. Never store in areas exposed to
direct sunlight.
Do not subject the lines of self-retracting lifeline
to unnecessary stress or pressure during storage.
Do not expose the fall stop system to heat,
extreme cold or moisture during storage
