During the boiling process you can stop heating at everytime by pressing on/off-button.
Lift the pot from the base. Press the spout opener and pour the hot water.
Attention: Risk of scalding
► Use caution when pouring the hot water and do not open the lid, use the spout opener.
The water in the pot is kept warm due tot he vacuum between inner and outer pot without
any power consumption (2hrs thermal insulation of 80 °C, 4 hrs thermal insulation of 70°C)
15.3 Cleaning and Maintenance
This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to cleaning and maintaining
the device. Please observe the notices to prevent damages due to cleaning the device
incorrectly and to ensure trouble-free operation.
15.4 Safety information
Please observe the following safety notices, before you commence with cleaning the
device:
► The VAKO² must be cleaned at regular intervals and limescale should be removed.
► Switch the device off prior to cleaning it and unplug the plug from the wall power outlet.
► Do not use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
► Do not scrape off stubborn dirt with hard items.
► Do not immerse pot, base or power cord in water.
15.5 Cleaning
Pot
Rinse the pot with a damp cloth.
15.6 Descaling
Depending on the hardness of water you should descale the device once every two
weeks.
Fill the pot with water and a commercial descaler or give a sip of vinegar into the water.
Heat the mixture but do not boil it to prevent overcooking. Rinse the pot with fresh
water after descaling.
► Regularly decalcifying your VAKO² will reduce the electricity used and prolong the life of
the device.
