16. TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
The appliance does not turn on.
Does not dispense steam
Steam does not come out and
the cap won't unscrew
Accessories are difficult to as-
semble.
If problems persist or are not listed above, please contact a Polti Authorised Service Centre
(www.polti.com for the updated list) or contact Customer Services.
CAUSE
No power.
Out of water
Steam lock activated
The boiler is not yet
pressurised.
Steam hose trapped or
twisted.
Steam button broken.
The seals produce friction.

SOLUTION
Check that the appliance has
been disconnected
mains, as indicated in Section 1.
Add water to the boiler as de-
scribed in Chapter 11.
Deactivate the steam lock on
the handle
Wait until the steam indicator
light comes on.
Check that the steam hose is
not trapped or twisted.
Take the appliance to an Authori-
sed Service Centre.
Lubricate the seals with silicone
grease or Vaseline, or alternati-
vely with a small amount of ve-
getable oil.
