Danger!
Risk of poisoning, explosions and scalding.
When fitting the connections, make sure that
all seals are correctly installed, so that no gas
or water can leak out.
5.1

Connecting to the gas supply

• Connect the wall outlet and the appliance inlet with a
gas shut-off valve, making sure the connection is gas-
tight and not under strain .
• Check the appliance for leaks and seal them.
5.2

Connecting to the water supply

Danger!
Danger of scalding and damage due to escaping
hot or cold water. If plastic pipes are used for
the hot and/or cold water connections of the
device, only pipes which are temperature-resist-
ant to 95°C at a pressure of 10 bar may be
used.
• Make the hot and cold water connections, making sure
they are not under strain.
• Check the appliance for leaks and seal them.

5.3.1 Checking the flue gas sensor

Check that the flue gas sensor is working before you fit
the flue pipe. This is how to do it:
• Block the flue exit.

• Turn the power switch (1) clockwise to the maximum
temperature.
• Turn the power switch (6) anticlockwise to maximum
performance.
• Open the hot water tap.
The flue gas sensor must cut off the gas supply within
two minutes and shut off the appliance.
• Close all hot water taps.
After the flue gas sensor cools down (at least 15 min-
utes), you can start the appliance up again, first putting
it in standby mode, see 4.3.2.
If the flue gas sensor does not act in this time:
• Contact customer service.
• Put the appliance out of operation.

5.3.2 Fitting the flue pipe

• Fit the flue pipe (1) in the flue pipe connection (2) on
the flow cutout, see fig. 5.1.

6 Initial operation
Initial start-up and operation of the appliance, and
instruction for the user, must be performed by a quali-
fied technician.
You must check the gas setting before initial operation.
For subsequent operation, see section 4.3 of the operat-
ing manual.
