The top grill plate has a hinge and exerts an even pressure on the food to be prepared. In case of soft or delicate food, push
the slide on the ride side to the rear so that the top grill plate exerts less pressure on the food. The best result is achieved by
preparing food that has a similar height all over.
Remove the food with a wooden or plastic spatula, in order to protect the non-stick coating. Do not use metal or sharp objects.
Warning: fillings of toasted sandwiches get very hot. So do be careful, particularly in the case of children.
Released fat and cooking liquid is discharged to the drip tray via the ridges of the grill plates. Regularly check whether the drip
tray should be emptied.
After use, turn the temperature knob fully to the left and always remove the plug from the socket. In closed condition,
push the slide to the rear to lock the appliance.
USING THE CONTACT GRILL AS A TABLE GRILL
Open the lid a little and press down the knob for folding open 180ᵒ [8] on the left. Now you are able to fold open the lid further,
placing it flat and using the contact grill as a table grill.
Insert the plug in the socket.
Turn the temperature knob to the required position. It takes the contact grill approximately three minutes to heat up.
Slide the drip tray in the bottom of the appliance, at an angle from the right side to the rear. Once the contact grill has
reached the required temperature, the green indicator led switches off. The contact grill is now ready for use.
Place the food to be grilled on both grill plates. Turn the food after three to five minutes to grill the other side. Remove the
food with a wooden or plastic spatula, in order to protect the non-stick coating. Do not use metal or sharp objects.

Always remove the plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance. Allow the contact grill to cool down fully. This will go
faster if you leave the contact grill open.
Clean the outside and the grill plates with kitchen paper or a damp cloth. In case of stubborn dirt you can use a damp cloth
and a little washing-up liquid. The drip tray may be washed with hot water to which a little washing-up liquid is added.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning the appliance or the grill plates. Dry the inside and outside of
the appliance.
Never submerge the contact grill in water or any other liquid.
"Close the grill and push the slide to the rear of the appliance for compact storage. The contact grill can be placed in
a cabinet vertically."
