Use

Indicates the date of manufacture. The numbers 1 to 12 refer to
the months of January to December. This ring may also indicate
the manufacturer's number. The year of manufacture appears in
the centre. The arrow points to the month of manufacture.
Indicates the date of manufacture of the exhalation valve

disc. The date of manufacture of the exhalation valve disc can
be calculated from the specified year and the number of dots.
3 Use
3.1 Prerequisites

Only use the filtering devices if the intended use and conditions
of use are clearly defined. The following instructions must be
observed when using the filtering devices.
Failure to comply with this warning may result in injury or death.
Strictly follow the applicable national regulations for using filtering

devices (in Germany e.g. BGR 190, in Australia and New Zealand
e.g. AS/NZS 1715:2009).
The ambient conditions (particularly the types and concentrations

of contaminants) must be known. Use appropriate respiratory
filters. If the contaminant is unknown, only use self-contained
(open-circuit) breathing apparatus or air line breathing apparatus.
Only use filtering devices if the air does not directly endanger the

health or life of the user.
It must be ensured that the ambient atmosphere cannot change

adversely.
Do not use filtering devices if there is a suspicion of contaminants

with low warning properties (smell, taste, irritation of eyes and
airways). In this case, leave the danger zone immediately because
the half mask may leak.
