STIHL has developed a composite
cutting wheel suitable for dry cutting
metals with the TS 440. STIHL has not
developed a composite cutting wheel for
cutting other materials with the TS 440,
or for wet cutting.
Composite cutting wheels rated for
traditional, high-speed cut-off machines
should not be used with the TS 440,
which has a maximum spindle speed of
2750 rpm.
WARNING
The TS 440 should not be used for wet
cutting when equipped with a composite
cutting wheel, as wet cutting increases
the risk of wheel failure and severe or
fatal personal injury and property
damage.
