the 743A23 Alignment Aid for ErgoArm Elbow Components for the socket alignment of a 12K44=*
or 12K50=* ErgoArm. Use adhesive tape to fasten the battery to the bars of the alignment aid.
Please observe the information in the 647H447 Instructions for Use, which are included with the
743A23 Alignment Aid for ErgoArm Elbow Components.

NOTICE
Gluing the charging receptacle with an unsuitable adhesive
Damage to the outer socket during removal of the charging receptacle due to the use of
►
unsuitable adhesives (e.g. Cyamet quick-drying adhesive).
→ 617H46 Bonding Agent must be used to glue the charging receptacle because the battery
and charging receptacle must be able to be removed from the outer socket in case of a
defect.
INFORMATION
• Before handling and processing the 617H12=* Pedilen Rigid Foam 200 and the 617P21=*
Pedilen Hardener, please read the corresponding material safety data sheet.
• Before handling and processing the 617H55=* C-Orthocryl Lamination Resin or the 617H19=*
Orthocryl Lamination Resin and the 617P37=* Hardening Powder, please read the correspond
ing material safety data sheet.
• Ensure sufficient ventilation of rooms and workstations.
• For your own protection, wear an appropriate respirator, protective gloves and goggles when
sanding the socket.
INFORMATION
Note that for the following lamination technique, the lamination dummies for the battery and
charging receptacle may not be fixed to the inner socket with double-sided tape, screws or sim
ilar. They may only be held in place by the 99B25 Tube Sock. Modelling with Plasticine is, there
fore, not required.
1) Fabricate the inner socket. Fix the lamination dummies for the charging receptacle, batteries,
electronics and electrodes to the inner socket. Cover the inner socket with standard plastic
wrap.
2) Pull the 99B25 Tube Sock down so it is free of wrinkles and tie off proximally. Verify the posi
tion of the lamination dummies. Warm the 99B71=* PVC Bag and pull it over the residual
limb. Tie the bag off and evacuate (see Fig. 4).
3) Fabricate the foam positive using 617H12=* Pedilen Rigid Foam 200 and 617P21=* Pedilen
Hardener using known methods (see Fig. 5).
4) Sand the foam positive (see Fig. 9).
5) After sanding, cover the foam positive with PVA foil and sufficient 623T3=* Perlon Stockinette
and tie off.
6) In order to increase the stability of the socket, the laminate can be strengthened with a layer of
616G12 Carbon Fibre Cloth between the first and second layers of 623T3=* Perlon Stockin
ette. Ensure that the carbon fibre cloth does not overlap the lamination ring for reasons of
electrical safety.
7) Laminate the outer socket using known methods and allow it to harden.
8) Place the two bore holes of the charging receptacle template on the nubs of the outer socket
and mark the contour on the outer socket using a thin felt-tip pen or scriber (see Fig. 10).
9) Burn the nubs out from inside. The resulting holes indicate the centre of the bore holes to be
drilled (see Fig. 11).
