3 Application
3.1 Indications for use
The Protective Cover is intended exclusively for Genium users.
3.2 Conditions of use
The product was developed for everyday use and must not be used for unusual activities such as
extreme sports (free climbing, paragliding, etc.).
3.3 Area of application
In principal, the product can be used with a rotation axis-floor-measurement* of 430 mm -
560 mm.
An exception is fittings with the 1C61 Triton Vertical Shock prosthetic foot. Due to the height of
the foot, the fitting area is restricted to 470 mm - 560 mm.
*Position of the alignment reference point of the Genium (rotation axis): 20 mm above the medial
tibial plateau.
Rotation axis-floor-measurement measured while standing (barefoot)
INFORMATION
For smaller users that require the Protective Cover to be substantially shortened, the Protector
foot cuff material can extend backwards into the charging area, with the result that it needs mov
ing to the side when the charging unit is inserted. The rotation axis-floor-measurement at which
this may occur depends on both the Protector foot cuff size and the foot being used.
3.4 Qualification
The fitting of patients with the product may only be carried out by qualified personnel (e.g. a pros
thetist).
