8.3. Adjust length of connection hose
When adjusting the air regulator connection hose, observe a minimum
hose length of 20 cm.
■ Unscrew anti-kink protection from air regulator connection [5-1] (wrench
size 14).
■ Shorten connection hose to required length [5-2].
■ Push connection hose onto the air regulator connection [5-3].
■ Push the anti-kink protection onto the air regulator connection again
and screw in position [5-4].
■ Check for tight connection.

9. Normal Operation

Check the air warmer / cooler for signs of damage and soiling every time
before it is used.
9.1. Attach air warmer / cooler to belt
■ Push the fastening plate [6-2] onto the adapter plate [6-4] of the fitted
belt until the safety nose [6-1] engages in the release lever [6-3].
9.2. Make ready to operate without air humidifier
■ Insert safety compressed air hose [1-7] at the air regulator [1-5]/[1-6].
■ Insert air regulator connection hose from air warmer / cooler [2-3] at the
air regulator [1-5]/[1-6].
■ Take the breathing air hose from the breathing protection hood [1-2]
through the belt loop and insert at the air warmer / cooler [1-3].
■ Adjust the necessary air flow at the air regulator (see operating instruc-
tions for the air regulator).
■ Use the air temperature regulator [7-1] to adjust the required air tem-
perature in seven stages.
The breathing protection equipment is operationally ready.
9.3. Make ready to operate with air humidifier
■ Insert safety compressed air hose [1-7] at the air regulator [1-5]/[1-6].
■ Insert air regulator connection hose from air warmer / cooler [2-3] at the
air regulator [1-5]/[1-6].
■ Insert connection hose from air humidifier [1-9] at air warmer / cooler
