Day/night switchover
You can set the apparatuses to ring along in case of an incoming call (assigning a call) differently in day and night setting. The exchange can make use of
an automatic switchover beween day and night setting at given moments. You can also manually switch between day and night setting. Insert code ✱400
and ✱401 on an apparatus that is connected to the exchange. This way, you can e.g. send incoming calls to an answering machine during the lunch break
and in the evening (night setting) and to a number of apparatuses during the day.
Under 'Set time', you set the time at which the exchange has to switch from day to night (or vice versa) automatically. If you wish the exchange to automati-
cally switch between day and night, 'Automatic day/night switchover' has to be checked off. If not, you can only manually switch between day and night
EN
setting using the codes ✱400 and ✱401.
ATTENTION: if you do not wish to use day and night setting, you are recommended to set the external and internal group allocations (see 5.5 and 5.6) for
day and night identically!
Daytime overflow function
Is calling other apparatuses if nobody within the original group has picked up the receiver within the set overflow time. (see further settings groups)
The overflow delay can be set between 10 and 30s.
If not checked off, the day setting is preserved. This setting does not affect the night setting.
4.3.2. Set fax select
Thanks to the exchange's 'fax select' function, you can receive both calls and faxes via 1 external analog line (not simultaneously of course). This function
enables you to connect a fax machine to one of the exchange's internal lines.
Select whether the 'fax select' function has to be activated on the first external line (Ext 1) and/or on the second external line (Ext 2). In the list 'To line', you
can select to which internal line of the exchange the fax machine for the corresponding external line is connected. You can also use 1 fax machine for 2
different telephone numbers by refering to one and the same internal line in the lists.
If the function is switched on, the exchange always picks up after 2 ring tones and detects any fax tone (CNG) of 1100Hz coming from the sending fax
machine. If a fax tone is detected, the call is connected to the set internal line to which the fax machine is connected. If the fax tone is not detected, the
exchange generates a lower ring tone to give the caller the impression the ring tone continues.
4.3.3. Automatic pick-up
In case of an incoming call and in case the external line concerned is selected, the exchange automatically picks up and starts the waiting music. This can
be used to immediately pass a modified message (or the waiting music) to the caller.
ATTENTION: this is the same waiting music as for the internal lines.
4.4. External lines setup
To make the external line settings, select the sheet 'External lines'.
You can give both external lines a name. In the example, external line 1 has been named 'Business' and external line 2 'Private'. Moreover, you can set
which internal lines have to ring along in case of an incoming call (assigning a call) on the external line concerned. You can set different call allocations for
day and night setting and for daytime overflow. If the latter is identical to day setting, '=' is inserted.
To simply equate day and night setting, click 'Copy day to night'.
