Preliminary Cleaning
Before you grate cheese for the fi rst time you should briefl y clean the device in order to
remove any residues from the production process. Please see our illustration and the
section on "Cleaning".
Charging the Battery
The cheese grater has two charging contacts on the sides of the handle.
• If you would like to charge up the device, place it in the charging station.
• The charging contacts (3) are closed.
• Connect the mains adapter to a 230 V/50 Hz socket.
• The charging lamp lights up when contact has been made with the mains adapter.
NOTE:
• The lamp does not provide any information on the charge status of the battery.
• The charging time the fi rst time the battery is charged is 24 hours and 6 hours for
each subsequent charge.
• After the device has charged up please disconnect the mains adapter from the socket.
Grating Cheese
• Cut the cheese up into cubes with a side length of approx. 3 cm.
• Open the handle and place the cheese in the shaft.
• Press the handle together and then press the switch (2).
• The grated cheese falls out of the side of the grater.
• You can sprinkle the contents of the grater over food when you remove the cover.
Removing the Grater
• Place the cover (7) on the grater.
• Turn the cover a short distance in an anticlockwise direction in order to remove the
grater.
Reinserting the Grater
• Place to cover (7) on the grater.
• Reinsert the grater into the housing.
• Turn the cover a short distance in a clockwise direction until the grater again grips into
the drive (11).
