Direction selector
Move the rotation selector to the right for left drive. Move
the rotation selector to the left for right drive. The middle
position locks the tool in the Off position.
Predrilling
You can predrill screw holes to simplify screwdriving.
Use
Only use bits that fit in the 6.35mm bit holder. Always
check before use that the bit is correctly fitted. Do not
tighten screws too hard, this can damage the screw heads
and/or threads.
Screwing/undoing
Select a bit that fits the screw head.
Insert the bit in the 6.35mm bit holder. Hold the tool with
the bit in line with the screw, otherwise the screw can
be damaged. Press the tool firmly against the screw,
otherwise the bit or screw head can be damaged.
Press the power switch to start the tool. Release the
power switch immediately when the screw is screwed in,
otherwise the bit or screw head can be damaged.
LED
The tool has a work light to improve visibility in dark areas.
ACCESSORIES
To replace accessories, pull off the rubber cap on the
front of the tool. Fit the accessory to the nose. Press the
accessory firmly on the tool.
MAINTENANCE
Keep guards, air vents and the motor housing as clear as
possible of dust and dirt. Wipe with a clean cloth and blow
through with a low-pressure air supply. Excessive build-up
of metal dust can cause tracking of electrical current from
the internal parts to exposed metal parts.
Important! To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs, maintenance and adjustment (other than those
listed in this manual) should be performed by authorized
service centers or other qualified service personnel,
always using identical replacement parts.

PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Separate collection. This product must not be
disposed of with normal household waste.
Should you find one day that your
BLACK+DECKER product needs replacement, or
if it is of no further use to you, do not dispose of it
with household waste. Make this product available
for separate collection.
Separate collection of used products and packaging
allows materials to be recycled and used again.
Re-use of recycled materials helps prevent
environmental pollution and reduces the demand
for raw materials. Local regulations may provide for
separate collection of electrical products from the
household, at municipal waste sites or by the
retailer when you purchase a new product.
