Tyre pressure warning (RDW)
Check tyre pressures regularly
and correct them if necessary.
Do not activate the system if snow
chains are in use. When the car is being
driven with snow chains fitted, incorrect
warnings but also failure to identify tyre
pressure loss may occur.
When driving on snow-covered or slip-
pery surfaces, it may take some time for
a loss of tyre pressure to be indicated.
If the car is driven in a very hard or en-
thusiastic manner (high lateral accelera-
tion, wheelspin), this too may delay the
display of RDW warnings.

Malfunctions
While a malfunction is present, the
Check Control displays "TYRE CON-
TROL INACTIVE".
The same display appears if a system
fault has developed.
In this event, please consult BMW
Service.
Have tyres changed by BMW
Service.
BMW Service is trained in the correct
handling of the RDW system and pos-
sesses the necessary special
