Troubleshooting
If you experience a problem with this product, please take a moment
to review the following information before requesting service.
Moreover, the problem might be caused by something other than
this product. Please also check the operation of the connected units.
If this product still does not operate correctly, contact the retailer
where you purchased it.
The Grandioso C1X does not turn on.
e Insert the power plugs into outlets.
Standby mode starts automatically.
e The automatic power saving function is operating to put the
unit into standby.
Press the power supply unit STANDBY/ON button or the remote
control ON button to turn the power on.
Change the automatic power saving setting if necessary
(page 21).
Remote control does not work.
e Press the power supply unit STANDBY/ON button or the remote
control ON button to turn the power on.
e If the batteries are exhausted, replace both of them with new
ones (page 15).
e The remote control will not work if there are obstructions
between it and the main unit. Point the remote control toward
the main unit and use it within 7 m (23 ft) of the front panel
(page 15).
A television or other device is operating improperly.
e The use of this product's remote control might cause some
televisions with wireless remote control functions to operate
incorrectly.
VOLUME knob does not work.
e When "THRU" appears on the display, the volume cannot be
adjusted on this unit (page 23).
Change the through output setting as necessary.
"CHK POWER!" appears on the display.
e Confirm that all 4 power and DC power cords are properly con-
nected (pages 10 and 11).
Since the Grandioso C1X uses a microcontroller, external noise
and other interference can cause it to malfunction. If this
occurs, put the unit into standby mode, disconnect the power
cords from the outlets, and wait about one minute before
restarting operation from the beginning.
Maintenance
Use a soft dry cloth to wipe the surfaces of the units clean.
For stubborn smudges, use a damp cloth that has been thoroughly
wrung out to remove excess moisture.
o Never spray liquid directly on these units.
o Do not wipe with chemical cleaning cloths, thinner or other
chemical agents. Doing so could damage the surfaces of the units.
o Avoid allowing rubber or plastic materials to touch the units for
long periods of time, because they could damage the cabinets.

For safety, disconnect the power plugs from the
outlets before wiping the units.
Note about condensation
If this product is brought from a cold outdoor environment into
a warm room, or the heater has just been turned on in the room
where it is located, for example, condensation might occur on
operating parts, resulting in improper operation. If this occurs,
leave the product on and wait one to two hours. This should
enable normal playback.
