GETTING STARTED AND GENERAL USE
Note: Before the first use, fill the kettle with clean water until maximum level,
boil and empty and discard the water. Repeat this process again.
1. Plug the power cord it into a wall outlet.
2. Open the lid (using the lid release) and fill the kettle with water.
Do not allow the water to rise above the maximum level or below the min-
imum level.
3. Close the lid and place on the power base.
4. Switch kettle on by pressing tilting the switch towards the lid. up on the
switch towards the bottom of the kettle (see picture above).
5. The kettle will turn off automatically when the water has reached the boiling
point. The switch will flip off.
If you want to re-heat the water, wait at least 30-60 seconds before turn-
ing the kettle back on.
6. Lift the kettle by the handle and pour the water as desired. Be careful not to
get burned by the steam coming up from the spout area.
MAINTENANCE
1. To clean, use a soft, wet cloth or sponge to wipe the surface of the kettle. If there
is a stubborn spot, use a natural detergent, but do not use a rubbing compound or
powdered abrasive which can scratch the finish.
2. If your unit will not be used for more than a day, be sure to completely dry the kettle,
inside and out before storing it. This will prevent any spots or rust-like formation.
3. For storage, the power cord may be wound up in the base by turning the knob
found around the bottom of the base as shown in the picture.
4. Depending on your local water hardness level, from time to time, calcium
and magnesium deposits may form on the inside of your pot as scale (also
known as calcium carbonate and/or magnesium carbonate). This can be
seen as a hard white built-up, typically starting on the inside-bottom of the
pot. After some build-up, heating performance may be affected.
TO CLEAN OFF THE CALCIUM BUILDUP, FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS:
1. Boil a full kettle of an equal mixture of vinegar and water.
2. Allow the boiled mixture to stay in the kettle overnight
3. Pour out the remaining liquid the next morning.
4. Boil a full kettle of water only.
5. Empty the kettle.
6. Clean the inside using a cloth.
