The slope of the ramp is adjustable between 0 and 55.55°C/minute. When powered up or when there is a change of setpoint, the
setpoint will be reached by respecting the slope thus programmed.
In the example below, rAmp = 5.00°C/ minute and the setpoint is at 125°C. The power is applied on power up and the setpoint will
be reached after 20 minutes. The setpoint being brought to 150°C twenty minutes later, this new value will be reached in 5 minutes.
At the 70th minute, the setpoint has fallen again to 75°C. This new setpoint will be reached after 15 minutes.

3.11.2. Ramp and soak
The soak function is obtained by setting the alarm A1 on the timer function.
If A1.SF is set to to.on (time out on), the alarm is now a timed contact, open on power up and closed as soon as the time AS.P1
has elapsed.
If A1.SF is set to to.oF (time out off), reverse action of alarm 1 will take place.
If the power supply of the controller is placed in series with the alarm contact, the STATOP 4850 becomes a controller with soak
function.
Example : here, the ramp is set to 5.00°C/minute, A1.SF = to.oF and ASP1 = 20 (minutes). The instrument is switched on and
performs a temperature rise of 5°C/minute up to 125°C. Once this point is reached, the timer starts and after 20 minutes the relay
opens, cutting off the power supply. The temperature can then fall again following its natural slope.

3.11.3.Timer
The timer function is obtained by setting alarm A1 to the timer function.
If A1.SF is set to to.on (time out on), the alarm is now a timed contact, open when powered up and closed as soon as ASP1 has
elapsed. The timer starts to count down when the setpoint is reached, after the time programmed in ASP1 has elapsed the relay
of alarm 1 closes.
The timer function can be used to run an external control, for example to switch on a siren when the operating temperature is reached.
In the example below, there is no ramp, A1.SF = to.on and ASP1 = 30 (minutes). From power up the temperature rises to 125°C,
the setpoint temperature. Once this temperature is reached, the countdown starts. After 30 minutes, the alarm relay A1 closes, the
controller maintains the temperature.
