AA. Frame Width

1. Frame Width Adjustment
a. Remove backrest and seating. If a seat
pan is installed, a new seat pan will be
required for the new seat width. Please
contact customer service for assis-
tance.
b. Remove screws that attach all cross
struts - front frame strut (Fig. 59:A),
seat frame strut (Fig. 59:B), rear frame
strut (Fig. 59:C) and axle strut (Fig.
59:D).
c. Remove screws for height adjustable
back strut. If adjusting from a width of
less than 14 to a width of more than
16, new push handles will be required.
Please contact customer service for
assistance.
d. Install new struts for new seat width,
leaving all nuts and bolts only finger
tight. Note that the rear frame strut is
identical to the front frame strut, only 3
inches (7.62 cm) shorter.
e. Place chair on a flat hard surface. With all four wheels contacting the surface, retighten all
strut screws.
f. Verify smooth tilt function.
