Notice!
Risk of material damage from improper cleaning tools
Never clean soiled bore holes with improper objects. Even the slighted
damage can affect the spray pattern.
→ Use SATA nozzle cleaning needles (# 62174) or (# 9894).
Information!
In rare instances, some parts of the paint spray gun may have to be re-
moved to clean it thoroughly. If disassembly is required, limit this only to
the parts that come in contact with material as a result of their function.
■ Flush the paint spray gun well with a thinner.
■ Clean air nozzle with a paintbrush or brush.
■ Lightly grease moving parts with gun grease.
11. Troubleshooting
Only trained experts are permitted to rectify the malfunctions described
below.
If it is not possible to rectify a malfunction using the remedies described
below, send the paint spray gun in to the SATA Service Department (see
Chap. 16 for address).

Cause
Paint nozzle not se-
cured tightly.

counterclockwise;
spindle loose in gun
threading.
Corrective action
Tighten paint nozzle
using universal wrench.
Clean air nozzle. Read
and follow cleaning
instructions (see 10).
Check fluid tip pin for
damage and replace
nozzle set if necessary.
Unscrew and remove
control using a sin-
gle-ended open-jaw
wrench; repair or re-
place completely.
