Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and its ventilation slots clean.
Remove any clogged sanding dust with a paint-
brush. From time to time remove the protective
cap 10 and clean the dust passage 11 so that the
suction performance remains at an optimum level
(see figure
B
).
Replacing the Graphite Plate
(see figure
)
C
The graphite plate 13 (accessory) is screwed
onto the guide plate 12. It enables an optimum
sanding pattern.
The graphite plate 13 is subject to wear, depend-
ing on the intensity of usage. To maintain opti-
mum sanding capacity, the graphite plate must
be replaced in good time when it is worn.
Remove the sanding belt for this. Unscrew and
remove the worn graphite plate. Then adjust the
belt run as described in the section "Changing the
Tool".
If the machine should fail despite the care taken
in manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorized after-sales
service centre for Berner power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 6-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
WARNING! Important instructions for con-
necting a new 3-pin plug to the 2-wire cable.
The wires in the cable are coloured according to
the following code:

neutral = blue
Do not connect the blue or brown wire to the
earth terminal of the plug.
Important: If for any reason the moulded plug is
removed from the cable of this machine, it must
be disposed of safely.
