5. Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT: Routing requires a low pressure from your side. Too much pressure will place unnecessary load on
the motor. Check the bits regularly. Resharpen or replace blunt bits.
a. Inserting and removing a bit (fig. B)
• Put the machine on its side on the table with the router base (3) pointing towards you.
• Press the lock knob (7) while loosening the collet nut (6).
• Place or remove a bit in the collet.
• Tighten the collet nut firmly by means of the wrench.
• Release the lock knob.
b. Fitting and adjusting the parallel guide (fig. C)
The parallel guide is used for routing along edges.
• Fit the guide rods (18) to the frame (14) by means of the screws (19).
• Loosen the screws (4) slightly and fit the parallel guide into the frame holes (5).
• Set the parallel guide to the desired distance and tighten the screws (4).
Optionally you can connect the provided centre point for routing circles.
• Remove a guide rod from the parallel guide.
• Mount the centre point to the guide rod.
• Slide the guide rod in the router base and tighten the screws.
c. Fitting the guide bush (fig. D)
The guide bush is used for routing figures.
• Place the guide bush (15) in the router by means of the screws (17) and nuts (20) onto the router base.
d. Dust extraction (fig. E)
The dust extraction connector (16) together with an external vacuum cleaner takes care of dust extraction of the
working surface.
• Remove the cutter from the holder.
• Mount the dust extractor onto the router base (3) by means of the screws (17) and nuts (20).
• Slide the suction mouth of a vacuum cleaner over the adapter (16).
e. Setting the depth stop (fig. F)
The depth stop is used to set the maximum cutting depth.
• Loosen the lock knob (9).
• Move the depth stop (10) up or down and set the required cutting depth.
• Tighten the lock knob.
