Notes on Device Safety

The present operating manual "Stemi 305 cam" is valid only in conjunction with the main
operating manual "Stemi 305". Before installing or commissioning Stemi 305 cam, users must
carefully read and follow the operating manual "Stemi 305" as including the "Notes on
Instrument safety and installation conditions".

If it becomes apparent that the safety measures are no longer effective, the device must be
taken out of service and secured against being used again unintentionally. Please contact
ZEISS customer service or the Carl Zeiss Microscopy Service to have the device repaired.
The visualized images of the Stemi 305 cam body with Wi-Fi may only be used for professional
training and research. These images are not meant to be used for direct generation of
diagnostic results.
The stereo microscope Stemi 305 cam incl. its original accessories may only be used for the
applications described in this operating manual. The manufacturer cannot assume any liability
for other applications, including those of individual modules or single components.
Changes to and maintenance on this device and on devices which are operated together with
the microscope may only be performed by our service or by authorized persons. The
manufacturer of the devices does not accept any liability for damage due to unauthorized
interventions in the device. Moreover, such interventions invalidate all guarantee / warranty
claims.
To protect the WLAN against access by unauthorized persons while operating the
Stemi 305 cam, it is recommended to change the standard password via the WLAN
configuration website. When selecting the new WLAN password, make sure that the password
contains digits and letters and is as long as possible.
Changes to the Stemi 305 cam body involving Wi-Fi (e. g. aerials) are not admissible, as this
would invalidate the existing radio licenses.
Should the WLAN password for the Stemi 305 cam no longer be known, the device can be
reset to the factory settings via the Reset feature (incl. WLAN-SSID and WLAN password, see
data on the back of the device).
