10. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
These instructions are intended for technical and specialized personnel, therefore basic safety and working techniques are not
All operations for preparation, assembly and electrical connection must be carried out by technical and specialized personnel; this will
guarantee optimum performance and proper operation of the actuator. First check that these fundamental conditions are met:

10.1. Safety Warnings

Before installing the actuator, check that the moving parts of the window on which it is to be installed are in perfect working
condition and that they open and close properly and are well balanced (where applicable).
The actuator's power must be sufficient to move the window in the absence of obstructions of any kind; the limits specified in the
product's technical data table (see point 5) must not be exceeded - otherwise, select the most appropriate stroke.
A quick check on the calculation can be made using the formula provided on point 2.
Attention. Check that the electric power supply used corresponds to that specified on the "TECHNICAL DATA attached to the
device.
Perform a visual inspection to check that the actuator has not been damaged during transport.
Check that once the actuator has been installed, the distance between the frame (fixed part to which the actuator bracket is fixed)
and the sash (mobile part to which the window bracket is fixed) is 0 mm or above (Fig. 1 and 6). Otherwise the actuator will not be
able to fulfill its function properly because the window will not close correctly; if necessary, fit shims underneath the mounting
brackets to obtain the distance required.
Check that the width of the window on the inside (where the actuator is to be fitted) is greater than the length of the chosen
actuator; otherwise, it is not possible to install the actuator.
On bottom-hung windows, there is the risk of injury if the window accidentally falls. A compass limit stop or an alternative safety
retainer system, calculated to prevent the window from accidentally falling, MUST be installed.
10.2. Preparing to install the actuator
Before starting assembly of the actuator, prepare the following accessory materials, equipment and tools.
Installation on metal windows: M5 threaded inserts (9 pieces), M5x12 flat headed metric screws (9 pieces).
Installation on wooden windows: self threading screws for wood Ø4.5 (9 pieces).
Installation on PVC windows: self threading screws for metal Ø4.8 (9 pieces).
Equipment and tools: tape measure, pencil, drill/power screwdriver, set of metal drill bits, power screwdriver bit, electrician's scissors,
screwdriver.
10.3. Calculating the number of thrust / fastening points
If the window is more than 120 cm wide, more than one thrust / fastening point should be provided by installing more than one actuator.
The following simple formula can be used to decide the positions of these points.
Formula:
The two side distances - LA: (PA x 2) = QL
The central distances
10.4. Drilling positions for supporting and window connection brackets
• Drilling position for actuators operating on 24V═ (DC), bottom-hung window (opening inward).
• Drilling position for actuators operating on 24V═ (DC), top-hung window (opening outward).
• Drilling position for actuators operating on 110/230V~ (AC), bottom-hung window (opening inward).
discussed.
Key:
LA = Width of window (hinge side)
- QL x 2
PA = Actuator connection points
QL = Side distances
