The label that says "BACK" (see fig. 7) points towards the back support.
The flat side with the foam base points downwards, the side with the Floam cells points
upwards.
The hook-and-loop strap on the underside of the outer cover is used to attach the seat cush­
ion in the wheelchair.

7.2 Functional test

Daily: loosen the seat cushion
1) Do not remove the outer cover for the daily functional test.
2) Loosen the seat cushion. To do this, press the polymer gel in the Floam cells from the sides
towards the centre of the cushion, so that as much gel as possible is in the middle of the seat­
ing surface.
Monthly: check the Floam cells
1) Remove the outer cover for the monthly functional test (see Page 20).
2) Remove the foam base on the bottom of the inner cover (see fig. 5).
3) Note the arrangement of the Floam cells. Use the sketch or photograph prepared for you by
the qualified personnel (see Page 19).
INFORMATION: Observe the safety notices at the start of the section "Removing/put­
ting on the inner cover" (see Page 20).
4) Remove the Floam cells from the inner cover (see fig. 6).
5) Check whether the Floam cells are functional.
6) If necessary, have the Floam cells replaced by qualified personnel.
7) Insert the Floam cells and foam base (see fig. 6, see fig. 5).
8) Pull on the outer cover (see Page 20).

7.3 Removing/putting on the covers

7.3.1 Removing/putting on the outer cover

Removal
The outer cover can be removed to clean the seat cushion:
1) Open the zip on the outer cover.
2) Remove the outer cover.
INFORMATION: Cleaning information see Page 21.
Application
1) Position the cushion core with the Floam cells facing up (see fig. 2, item 1) and the foam base
facing down (see fig. 2, item 2).
2) The BACK label on the inner cover and the BACK label on the outer cover must face in the
same direction (see fig. 7).
3) Pull the outer cover over the cushion core with the zip on the back and the side with the hook-
and-loop strap facing down.
4) Close the zip on the outer cover.
5) Ensure the outer cover fits well and there are no large folds or wrinkles on the top surface.

7.3.2 Removing/putting on the inner cover

CAUTION
Incorrectly arranged Floam cells
Pressure points due to incorrectly arranged Floam cells
When removing the inner cover, note where you remove each Floam cell from the cover.
When pulling on the inner cover, be sure to replace each Floam cell in the same location
where it was previously removed.
