Notes on Safety Prevention
This machine can only be operated
safely when the operating instructions
and the pamphlet containing the safety
instructions have been completely read
and strictly adhered to.
K Always inspect cable and plug before using
machine. Only have damage repaired by a qualified
professional.
K Make sure machine is switched off before inserting
plug in socket.
K The machine must not be damp and must not be
operated in a wet environment.
K Caution with long hair. Do not wear loose-fitting
clothing while working.
K Secure your workpiece with clamps.
K Always direct power cable to rear away from the
machine.
K Always ensure that you have a secure footing while
working.
K In the interests of safety, the auxiliary handle (13)
should always be used.
K Watch out for the initial torque reaction of the drill,
especially when drill bit is tight.
Safety clutch
The safety clutch is activated if the drill becomes
jammed or caught.
K Before carrying out any work on the machine
dis?connect from power supply by removing plug
from socket.
K The chuck key should always be kept in the holder
provided on the cable sleeve.

Putting into Operation

Incorrect operation can lead to damage. Therefore
always observe the following regulations:
- Sharp drill bits optimise performance whilst mini-
mizing wear on the machine.
- Do not place such loads on the machine that it
ceases to turn.
- Change rotational direction only when the machine
is not moving.
The power supply voltage must match the information
quoted on the tool identification plate. Tools with a
rating of 230 V can also be connected to a 220 V/240 V
supply.

Auxiliary handle
For safety reasons always use the enclosed auxiliary
handle (13). Fasten the auxiliary handle to the clamp-
ing collar (2) with the wing bolt (3).
By loosening the wing bolt (14) the drilling depth can
be adjusted with the depth stop adjustment (15).
The auxiliary handle is used to guide the machine
securely, especially with sudden occuring reaction
torque (e. g. jamming of the drill bit).
By loosening the wing bolt (14) the position of the aux-
iliary handle can be adjusted in length direction.
Always set the length of the auxiliary handle to the
maximum, if possible.
Apply the pressure required for work against
the handle (7) only and not against the auxiliary
handle (13).
