5.0 LID LOCK
The lid lock permits to open the lid as soon as the cage has come to a stop.
If there is no current input (because of a voltage drop or more generally, after the emergency button has been
operated) the switch will
prevent lid opening).
To be able to open the half-
lid, proceed as follows:
- Unscrew
slightly
locking screw (3).
- Turn the selector screw (2)
from position A to position B
(i.e. by 180°).
It will now be possible to
open the head of the lid lock
(1A+1B), and therefore the
half-lid.
Remember that, if the selector
screw (2) is in the 'open'
position (position B), even
after resetting, the honey
extractor will not be enabled
to start a new cycle.
In this case, carry out the
above-described
steps
reverse order.
6.0 MAINTENANCE
6.1 MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT AFTER STOPPING THE MACHINE AND DISCONNECTING
ELECTRIC POWER.
Before periods of prolonged inactivity, coat the chromium plated parts of the machine with a thin film of
paraffin oil and then cover the machine with a tarpaulin.
At work end, the machine should be washed with warm water only and wiped dry with a cotton cloth. If
needed, use mild detergents only not to affect the honey quality.
At season end, check the honey extractor efficiency and carry out any required maintenance to ensure that the
machine is in the best working order, ready for the following year.
