BATTERY INSTRUCTIONS
•
Keep batteries away from children and animals, they could be deadly if swallowed. In
case of ingestion, seek medical assistance immediately.
•
Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your skin, eyes or mucous membranes to come
into contact with the battery acid.
WARNING: In case of contact with acid, rinse the affected areas with abundant fresh water
immediately and contact a doctor as soon as possible.
•
Make sure the battery contacts in the device are clean before inserting batteries; if they
are not, clean them.
•
Use only the battery type specified in the technical specifications.
•
Always replace all the batteries at the same time. Do not use different types of batteries
or of different capacities.
•
When replacing batteries, note the correct polarity (+/-).
•
Take the batteries out of the device when they are discharged or when the scale is not
going to be used in a long time.
•
Batteries must not be recharged or reactivated, dismantled, thrown into fire, immersed
in fluids or short-circuited.
•
This device requires 3 x 1.5-volt batteries, AAA type (INCLUDED).
WARNING: If "Lo" appears on the display, batteries need to be replaced. How to replace
batteries:
1.
Open battery compartment by sliding the cover towards the arrow direction. The battery
compartment is on the bottom part of the scale.
2.
Insert 3 AAA-type batteries (INCLUDED), pay attention to polarity.
3.
Close battery compartment by pushing the cover backwards again. Make sure it fits
properly.
