24. Unplug the appliance from the power supply
after use and prior to cleaning. Never leave
the appliance unattended when it is plugged
in to the power supply and/or while it is still
hot.
25. For safety reasons, always be sure to first
unplug the appliance from the wall socket
before disconnecting the thermostat plug
from the outlet on the appliance.
26. Clean the appliance after every use (see
chapter on Cleaning and Care on page 17).
27. Check the appliance, the plug and the power
cord regularly for wear or damage. In case
the manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if
repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

Required tools
1 Philips screwdriver (not included)
1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as descri-
bed in the chapter "Cleaning and care" on
page 17.
3. Insert the base (8) into the base stand (9) -
this requires application of force to ensure a
stable connection.
4. Turn the grill housing (6) over and position
the assembly element (7) so that the ope-
nings of the assembly element are in exact
alignment with the holes on the bottom of
the grill housing. Fasten the assembly ele-
ment to the grill housing using the short
screws.
5. Place the grill housing (6) firmly onto the
base (8).
6. Now attach the two side elements (5). Hold
each side element on the matching bracket
on the grill housing (6) and use the long
screw to fasten the side element. This is
easier if you raise the side element some-
what using your free hand.
Folding up the side elements
Unlock the mount on the respective side element by pulling it firmly outward. Then fold the side
element upward until you can hang the mount exactly on the grill housing.
To fold the elements down, proceed in reverse order. The mount has to be locked into place by
applying pressure.

PreParinG the aPPliance For oPeration

1. Place the assembled appliance on a suitable
level surface.
2. Open the cover of the appliance.
3. Check to make sure that the grease drip pan
is correctly inserted.
4. Before using the grill, lightly oil the grill
plate with high heat cooking oil, such as
sunflower oil.

7. To assembly the grill cover (1), first place it
on the grill housing (6). Now align the two
hinges so that you can push the two bolts
through the holes. Secure the two bolts with
the cotter pins by inserting each pin through
the small hole in the bolt.
8. Attach the handle to the lid using the screws
provided.
9. Place the grease drip pan (3) in the middle
of the grill housing (6).
10. Insert the grill plate (2). To do so, hold the
grill plate at an angle so that the thermostat
connection on the grill plate fits through the
opening provided in the grill housing.
11. Now connect the power cord with the ther-
mostat plug (4).
12. Check to make sure that all parts are assem-
bled correctly and the grill is stable.
13. Connect the appliance via the power cord to
the power supply (230 V~, 50 Hz).
5. Now connect the power cord with the
thermostat plug to the appliance.
6. Connect the appliance via the power cord to
the power supply (AC, 230 V~, 50 Hz).
7. You can fold out the side elements as
needed.
8. Select the desired temperature setting on
the rotary switch. The indicator lamp on
the thermostat indicates when the required
