Use the screwdriver to turn the

screw (1) to the right until the saw
chain rests against the underside of
the guide bar
Raise the guide bar further and

tighten the nuts securely
Continue with "Checking the chain
N
tension"
A new saw chain must be retensioned
more frequently than one that has been
in use already for an extended period!
Check chain tension frequently –

Switch off the engine

Put on protective gloves

Loosen adjusting screw (1)

Push the slide (2) toward the engine

as far as it will go
continue with "For all versions"

The saw chain must lie against the

bottom of the bar – and it must be
possible to pull it across the guide
bar by hand when the chain brake is
released
If necessary, retension saw chain

bar as far as it will go or set the
desired cutting depth
