Sight glass

Remove the top black cover and clean the sight glass (13)
with the supplied sight glass brush. Order no.: 200981.
Quick stop faucet

Screw the top part as well as the black hood off
quick stop faucet (16) and then clean the discharge pipe
with the sight glass brush.
Fault Indication
A defect within the heating system of the flow heater (i.e.
descaling necessary) is indicated if the indicator lamp (6) starts
to burn.
Descaling is now urgently necessary - and should be per-
formed as soon as possible as otherwise the built-in machine
protective fuse will be activated within very short time and it
will be necessary to call a service technician to put the machine
back into working order.
Maintenance
Depending on water hardness and how often the machine is
used, the passage heater must be dsescaled regularly. (Hard
water + frequent use = descaling more often)

Caution: You are using an acid. Please apply the descaling
agent as indicated in the instructions for use.
Coffee machine unit
b
Turn the quantity selection switch (1) to MAN and press
start button (3). The programme indicator lamp (4)
illuminates. Residual water which may still be in the water
tank of the flow heater
stopping the programme, flows into the filter (24) via the
swivel arm discharge.
b
Fill 11/2 ltr. pot with warm water. Stir in the quick descaling
powder (50-100 g/l) with a plastic spoon until the solvent
has dissolved completely.
b
Take off
the cap (10) and slowly pour the solution with
the funnel into the emptied water tank. Hold back particles
which have not completely dissolved.
b
Press START button (3), and the programme indicator
lamp (4) illuminates. As soon as water flows into the filter
(24) press STOP button (3). Now the indicator lamp (4)
starts to blink.
b
Let the solution soak for approx. 15 minutes.
b
Press start button (3) again. The programme indicator lamp
(4) illuminates and the remaining solution is boiled until no
fluid is left in the water container. Then the indicator lamp
ceases to burn.
b
If necessary i.e. depending on to what degree the passage
heater is affected by calcification the descaling process can
be repeated as described by using 2 ltr. of newly prepared
solution.
b
Afterwards rinse the machine with water. For this turn the
quantity selection switch to the largest possible amount i.e.
5 and press start button (3).
b
Zero adjustment of service - indication after descaling.
After descaling of the machine the internel counter must
be set to zero to switch the LAMP (6) off.

Switch machine off (2).
b
Switch the machine on again (2) and press and hold
START (3) at the same time.

Switch off the hot water unit (7).

Check if the water hose of the machine is attached to the
water drain on site in accordancewith regulations.

Let approx. 1.5 ltr. water flow out of the boiler into a 2
ltr. jug viaquick stop faucet (14).
Stir in the quick descaling agent (300-400 gr.) with a plastic
spoon until the solution has dissolved completely.

Remove the cap to empty the water boiler (17). Open fully
the draining tap behind the cap by turning it a quarter to
the left using the socket spanner provided. The boiler will

now be emptied completely into the customer's drain. Close
the draining tap again by turning it as far as possible to
the right.

Remove the cap (27) of the top covering plate above the
the water boiler and fill in the prepared solution with the
funnel.

Switch on the hot water unit (7). After approx. 5 minutes
heating-up time let approx. 0.5 ltr. flow into a jug via quick
stop faucet (14). Switch machine off again. Let the solution
soak in for approx. 15 minutes.

Empty the boiler again in the described manner.
b
Switch on the hot water unit again. After the boiler has
filled again, rinse by letting approx. 0.5 ltr. flow out of the
unit via the quick stop faucet (14). Switch off the unit again
and empty the boiler as described. Repeat this rinsing
process 3x with clear water.

Insert the cap to cover the opening of the water boiler (17)
again. Place cap (27) onto the water boiler.
b
Switch on the hot water unit again. As soon as the
indicator lamp starts to burn (8) the machine can be
operated again.
We recommend to use SWIRL quick descaling agent in the 1
kilo tin, order no. 1012538.

this period all defects due to faulty material, poor design, and
faulty construction work will be repaired free of charge by us,
provided that the machine was operated and maintained
