6.2 SL2 BOARD FOR BEACON ET1 (24 V)
Functioning
This board makes it possible to command the beacon ET1 with the alternate flashing of
the two lights, each with a maximum of 21 W. This board can be used to command
preflashing during closing or opening depending on the functioning logic selected. The
preflashing lasts approximately 3 sec.
Connection method
1. Turn OFF the power supply to the device
2. Fit the board onto connector J4 or J5 matching up the pins
3. The terminal board on board SL2 has three terminals: connect the common light
lead (blue lead) to the central terminal and the return leads from the lights to the
other two.
6.3 RA-AS BOARD FOR LEAF OPENING DELAY AND SINGLE LEAF
Functioning
This board is used to delay the start of motor 2, to prevent two overlapping leaves from
colliding and/or to control a single leaf connected to motor 1 for pedestrian passage.
Connection method
1. Turn OFF the power supply to the device
2. Fit the board onto connector J4 or J5 matching up the pins
3. To use just a single leaf, connect a N.O. contact to the two terminals on the optional
board terminal board
When the command for the single leaf function is given, it is necessary to wait for
the start of the closing cycle before commanding the opening of both leaves.
It is also necessary to disable the leaf opening delay on the RA/AS board, leaving
both the DIP-SWITCHES in the OFF position.
6.4 ES BOARD FOR ONE-WAY TRAFFIC LIGHT
Functioning
This board can be used to pilot the flashing of four lights (traffic lights): two red and two
green with a power supply of 220 V (for 24 VDC a transformer must be added).
The ES board is essential in all cases where it is necessary to command a garage
entrance at the end of a tunnel or hidden.
a) With this system, when the system is in standby, both the traffic lights are RED.
b) As soon as an entry or an exit is requested, the relative traffic light starts to flash
between GREEN and RED alternately to signal opening.
c) When opening is complete and when the pause time starts, the traffic light is set at
GREEN and remains in this condition up to 6 seconds before closing.
d) Then the traffic light begins to flash between GREEN and RED again for 3 seconds
before turning to RED until the gate is entirely closed.
Connection method
1. Turn OFF the power supply to the device
2. Fit the board onto connector J4 or J5 matching up the pins
3. Connect the traffic lights to the terminal board on the ES board as indicated in the
figure
4. Connect a pushbutton with a normally open contact to the terminals 1 and 2 on
board A40M/2. This pushbutton will control the traffic light 1.
5. Connect a pushbutton with a normally open contact to the terminals 7 and 8 on the
ES board. This pushbutton will control traffic light 2.
NOTE: If the two START buttons are pressed at the same time, the program of the
device will select the priorities in chronological order.
6. Program the A40M/2 device for the traffic light logic mode.
When the traffic light board is enabled, the device only functions in the automatic
mode, regardless of any other type of programming. Only the Diagnostics remains
enabled, so that the efficiency of the traffic lights and the start buttons can be tested.
7. Remember that the selection of this functioning mode is disabled:
• stop pushbutton
• leaf closing delay
• electric lock
• reverse stroke
If the safety photocell is covered during closing, the movement is reversed and the
traffic light starts up its functioning cycle from the beginning again.
