3. Assembly

Warning!
Wash your hands thoroughly before doing any work on the oxygen supply. Hydro-
carbon compounds (e.g. oil, grease, cleaning alcohol, hand cream or adhesive plas-
ter) can cause explosive reactions if they come into contact with highly compressed
oxygen.
Never use wrenches or other tools to tighten or unscrew the union nut.
Warning!
After assembly you must perform a functional check (see "6. Functional Checks"
on page 21), to ensure reliable operation.

3.1 Connecting oxygen cylinder

1. Briefly open the valve of the new oxygen cylinder, then shut it again. This is to blow

4. Screw the pressure reducer to the cylinder valve with the
corrugated union nut of the connecting union 2. Tight-
