1.5 Training of installation and operating personnel

The owner is obligated to take appropriate safety measures. The operator may only assign personnel
for assembly and commissioning who have knowledge of the basic regulations for accident prevention
and safety at work, and have read and understood the safety instructions in this manual.

1.6 Warranty and liability

The entitlement to warranty and liability becomes void if Ants LES01 is not used in the intended man-
ner, if any damage can be traced back to a failure to observe the operating manual, or if installation
and operating personnel are not properly qualified or trained.
Failure to observe these instructions voids all entitlement to warranty or guarantee as well as any
possible liability claims. All regulations concerning accident prevention which are applicable on the
elevator must be observed. In order to prevent damage due to improper handling of electrical voltages
and currents, all relevant (including local) regulations must be observed, particularly in respect of
protective measures and proper earthing.

1.7 Intended use

Ants LES01 was developed exclusively for the purpose described here:
• Unintended use can result in dangerous situations.
• Ants LES01 may only be used as intended. All specifications in the operating manual must be
strictly observed.
• Changes to the overall design or individual components for the change of the area of application
and/or usability of Ants LES01 are prohibited.
• All claims for damages resulting from unintended use are void and the owner is solely liable.

1.8 Transport

Inspect the delivery for any transport damages immediately upon receipt. Notify the transport company
immediately in case of damage. In this case, commissioning of the evaluation unit is prohibited. If you
cannot install the evaluation unit immediately, store it in a dry and dust-free location, ideally in the
transport packaging.

Please read the operating instructions before commissioning the
device. Installation notices must be observed. Only commission the
device if you have read and understood the operating manual.
The selection of the devices and their integration into the control sys-
tem require the qualified knowledge of the relevant laws and normative
requirements on part of the machine manufacturer.
The safety and warning instructions are an important part of the opera-
ting instructions and must be followed.
The Ants LES01 is a measuring system for safe detection of the
absolute position of elevator cabins. Ants LES01 does not guarantee a
response time.
A safe detection unit must react appropriately to absent position data.
