Cleaning
Caution:
Never clean the burner by boiling or steam cleaning! Never use
EN
acetone when cleaning!
Do not blow compressed air into the hose connection or the
mixing tube on the burner! This could damage the safety valve.
Only the following parts may be cleaned with boiling water or
steam cleaner once they have been dismantled:
► Mixing tube (1)
► Sensor holder (8)
► Collection pan (7)
Caution when cleaning:
• Only clean the burner once it is completely cool.
• Before cleaning, close the gas shut-off valve at the laboratory work-
bench (gas isolation valve).
• Do not use chemicals for cleaning.
• Never drill or unscrew the burner nozzle.
Cleaning the mixing tube
Disassembly:
⇒ Using an Allen key (10), loosen the clamping screw (9) and sensor
holder (8).
⇒ Unscrew the mixing tube (1).
Cleaning:
⇒ Clean the mixing tube (1) with boiling water or the steam cleaner.
Assembly:
See Fig. 2 (on cover page)
⇒ The re-assembly is carried out in reverse order.
⇒ Position the sensor so that the upper edge of the sensor's brass sleeve
and the upper edge of the mixing tube are in line (2).
⇒ Carry out a function test.
Cleaning the burner nozzle
If the burner nozzle is blocked, it can be dismantled from the mixing tube
and carefully cleaned with a soft cloth.
If cleaning in this manner is not possible, then the burner nozzle can only
be cleaned and changed by an authorized specialist.
Maintenance
The burner is maintenance-free.
