14.1 - circulating water pump Water flow setting
(fig. 18)
Pumps are variable speed circulators (with manual or
electronic selector) which allow for adjustment of speed to
match the requirements of the system.
size 008
The operating red knob allows to set several pressure levels in 2 control modes:
- Variable differential pressure (Δp-v)
- Constant differential pressure (Δp-c)
Variable differential pressure (Δp-v)
Constant differential pressure (Δp-c)
Venting function
Min flow=1 ; Max flow=8
''set up'' procedure :
Factory pre-setting = Δp-c 8.
All functions can be set, activated or deactivated by using the operating red
knob :
- The control mode Δp-v is set on the left of the middle position (from 1 to 8).
- T he control mode Δp-c is set on the right of the middle position (from 1 to 8).
- F or venting the pump, turn the knob in its middle position (the venting function
is activated after 3 seconds and lasts 10 minutes before going to Δp-c max
mode)
Note :
- The variable pressure mode (Δp-v or PP) is recommended in heating systems with radiators.
- The constant pressure mode (Δp-c or CP) is recommended for underfloor-heating circuits.
- All hydronic curves (Fig. 13) have been defined in constant pressure mode for min, medium and max speed.
Pump Speed Setting procedure:
The best speed setting will provide adequate circulation
and provide the correct low and return temperature
diferentials. This will achieve maximum economy and
efficiency.
1. Set the speed selector to minimum (one).
2. Set any room thermostatic controls to maximum.
3. Start up system and pump should start.
4. Wait 10~15 mins and measure water temperature
differential (leaving water temperature-entering water
temperature).
5. Water Temperature Diferential should be 5–6°C, if
Water delta temperature is more than 6°C select a
higher pump speed An alternative solution is measure
water pressure differential between unit water IN-
OUT pipes and select pump speed to match the unit
nominal water low (see unit available static pressure
curves).

The user interface allows to select between 6 pressure levels in 2 control modes:
- 3 constant pressure/power curves (CP)
- 3 proportional pressure curves (PP)
PP1 (flashing fast)
PP2 (flashing fast)
PP3 (flashing fast)
CP1 (flashing slow)
CP2 (flashing slow)
CP3 (flashing slow)
Min flow=1 ; Max flow=3
''set up'' procedure :
1) Factory pre-setting
2) Push the button 10 sec
3) W ith each push the setting changes
4) A fter 10 sec not pushing the button
5) L ED 1 or 2 or 3 is permanently
shining
14.2 - Water loop charging, system cleaning and
Water Characteristics (fig. 19)
Charge the water loop, with water, until the pressure on
the hydro unit reads 0.15MPa (1.5bar ).
Water pump is forced on. Loosen the cap of the air purge
valve to purge air from the water circuit. If air remains in
the system the system will not operate correctly.
The installer can verify if the water fill operating is
completed when flow switch status is ON to let the
compressor start.
When completing the Test Run, during the commissioning
of the system, the water pressure in the system may drop
below 1.5 bar. In this event please add more water to the
system. In the case of a new installation, or cleaning the
circuit, it is necessary to perform a preventive cleaning of
the system.
Constant Pressure Curve CP3
Pump goes to setting mode - LED
starts flashing
LED 1-2-3 shines / control curve and
mode is changing
Setting is adapted – pump goes back
to operation mode
Pump is running with the selected
curve and mode
