Use
6.1
General
The equipment of a rescue system must always be ready for use. That means the equipment must be
checked and inspected directly after use before it is stored.
WARNING
Make sure you are up to date on all safety regulations and that you have mastered the use of
all equipment of the system you are going to work with.
Never try to connect or disconnect hydraulic couplers if the equipment is being used or if the
system is under pressure.
6.2
Before use
Use the pump only for (combinations of) tools that require an oil volume that is less than the maximum
available oil volume.
•
Check the battery level. Refer to section 5.13.
•
Connect the hydraulic hose(s) to the tool and the pump. Refer to section 5.6.
•
Start the pump.
•
Supply the pressure to the tool(s):
-
CORE™ system: the pressure is present after connecting the coupler.
•
The system is now ready for use.
6.3
During use
6.3.1
Changing tools and/or hoses of the CORE™ system
•
No action required on the pump.
6.3.2
Changing the battery
•
Stop the pump.
•
Remove the battery. (Refer to Fig. 4)
•
Put a new battery on the pump.
•
Start the pump.
WARNING
If the battery is removed without stopping the pump, the pump will start directly after the new
battery is placed.
NOTICE
It is highly recommended to have at least one fully charged spare battery available at all
times.
6.4
After use
6.4.1
Shutdown and disconnect
•
Put the tool back in the starting position to keep correct oil level in the pump.
•
Stop the pump.
•
Disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) from the tool and the pump. Refer to section 5.7.
•
Remove and charge the battery.
