there may be a risk to the staff,
will endanger the grinding machine and other material
property of the operator,
the correct function of the grinding machine may be af-
fected.
The grinding machine is designed and manufactured exclusively
for grinding, polishing and cleaning metals using properly grinding
wheels, cleaning brushes and polishing wheels.
The grinding machine must be used exclusively for this purpose.
If the grinding machine is used in any way other than described
above, modified without authorization of Optimum Maschinen Ger-
many GmbH, then the grinding machine is being used improperly.
We will not be held liable for any damages resulting from any
operation which is not in accordance with the intended use.
We expressly point out that the guarantee or CE conformity will
expire due to any constructive technical or procedural changes
which had not been performed by the company Optimum
Maschinen Germany GmbH. It is also part of intended use that
 the limits of performance of the grinding machine are
observed,
 the operating manual is observed,
 the inspection and maintenance instructions are
observed.
WARNING!
Heaviest injuries through improper use.
It is forbidden to make any modifications or alternations to
the operation values of the grinding machine. They could
endanger the staff and cause damage to the grinding
machine.

Reasonably foreseeable misuse

Any other use as the one determined under the "Intended use" or
any use beyond the described use shall be deemed as not in con-
formity and is forbidden.
If it is intended to use the device in any other way as described
above, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer.
In order to avoid misuses it is necessary to read and understand
the operating instructions before the first commissioning.
The operators must be qualified.
2.3.1 Avoiding misuse
Cleaning brushes may be used only on the grinding machine
GZ20C and GZ25C.
The distance between the supporting surface for grinding
wheel may not be less than 2 mm. However, the distance may
be greater if the grinding process and the used material
require this for security reasons.
Grinding wheels must not be installed in places that are
designed for cleaning brushes.
We would like to stress that any modifications to the construction,
or technical or technological modifications that have not been
authorized by will also render the guarantee null and void.
12
Risk of injury caused by workpieces flying off
Make sure to have the gap between the grinding wheel and sup-
port surface as small as possible and readjust the support surface
immediately if the distance is too big.
If the readjustment of the support surface is no longer possible,
the grinding wheel must be replaced.
2.4
The grinding machine is state-of-the-art. Nevertheless, there is a
residual risk as the grinding machine operates with
 high speeds,
 rotating parts,
 grinding wheels (emission of sparks),
 cleaning brushes,
 with electrical voltages and currents.
We have used construction resources and safety techniques to
minimize the health risk to persons resulting from these hazards.
If the grinding machine is used and maintained by the staff who
are not duly qualified, there may be a risk resulting from incorrect
or unsuitable maintenance of the grinding machine.
Everyone involved in the assembly, commissioning, operation and
maintenance must
 be duly qualified,
 strictly follow these operating instructions.
Always disconnect the grinding machine machine from the electri-
cal power supply when performing cleaning or maintenance works.
The grinding machine may only be used with the safety
devices activated.
Disconnect the grinding machine immediately whenever you
detect a failure in the safety devices or when they are not
mounted!
All additional devices installed by the operator have to be
equipped with the prescribed safety devices.
This is your responsibility being the operating company!
