Rosenbauer – FANERGY
Safety instructions
▪
The fan may only be operated and repaired by trained personnel.
▪
Inspect the fan before and after every operation for possible damage. Pay
special attention to secure seating of the guard grid!
▪
When performing maintenance work on models with combustion engines,
always pull off the spark plug connector and remove it from the spark plug or,
in the case of models with electric motors, pull the mains plugs.
▪
The fans may in no case be operated in areas in which there is a danger of
explosion (ex-atmospheres). Exceptions are models with explosion protection
certificates.
▪
Do not move the unit when the motor is running. The unit may only be
transported when the motor has come to a complete stop.
▪
The unit does not contain any parts which may be repaired by the user.
Please contact the manufacturer or your Rosenbauer representative for
repair work or the installation of original spare parts.
▪
Never replace the motor with another make or model without obtaining the
prior approval of the manufacturer.
▪
Keep the surrounding area free of rocks, sand, rubble, etc. These objects
may be drawn into the fan and cause serious injuries. Ensure that there are
no persons or animals in the airflow in front of the fan.
▪
Keep fingers and hands away from the fan unit. Never operate the unit if the
guard grids of the fan are missing, loose or damaged.
▪
Keep clothing items such as ribbons, scarves, ties, ropes, belts, etc. away
from the fan. Take special care on the intake side that such items cannot be
drawn into fan blades by suction!
▪
Turn the fuel valve off when the fan is not in operation (models with
combustion engine).
▪
Never refuel while the motor is running or hot. Only refuel the unit when it is
switched off and has cooled down (models with combustion engine).
▪
Fans with a combustion engine may only be operated outdoors or in very
wellventilated rooms. All instruments with combustion engines come
equipped with an exhaust adapter suitable for DIN 14572 exhaust gas hoses.
▪
Motor exhaust gases and noises are a health hazard. Therefore ensure that
there are no persons or animals in the vicinity of the unit. If necessary, use
the exhaust hose (Rosenbauer Article No. 654400)!
▪
Ensure that all persons in the direct vicinity of the fan are wearing hearing
protection.
▪
Caution! Do not under any circumstances put the unit into operation if there
are signs of transport damage to the rotor, guard grids or housing parts.
Notify the responsible Rosenbauer sales office without delay.
