Initial Configuration Tasks
The PowerVault NX1950 Configuration Tasks window opens each time
the administrator logs on to the storage server, unless the administrator
chooses not to display the window at logon. It is also available from the
PowerVault NX1950 Management Console.
The PowerVault NX1950 Configuration Tasks Wizard helps you perform
the initial system configuration including:

Changing the administrator name and password
•
Configuring networking
•
Changing the system name
•
Joining a domain
•
Specifying language and regional settings
•
Changing date and time settings
•
Use of Windows

Downloading and installing updates

Configuration of automatic updates
•
System configuration tasks including:

Setting up identity mapping for Microsoft Services for Network
File System (NFS) by using the new Microsoft Services for NFS
Configuration Guide and the new Identity Mapping Setup wizard
–
Initial configuration support (on servers running Windows Unified
Data Storage Server 2003, x64 Enterprise Edition), including
creating or joining a domain and setting up a highly available file
server instance (resource group)
